Implicit in the earning of the CSA (Certified System Administrator) certification is that the candidates have apprentice knowledge of hands-on integration and support of technical solutions in complex, enterprise class environments.

What are the compulsory exams to earn credit towards this certification?
You need to do the HP exam(s) required to earn CSA certification. Because there are different tracks in the certification, there can be different exams for the different tracks. For example:

The exam that is required is the CSA - HP-UX v11 track is the HP HP0-091 HP-UX System Administration UNIX exam.

The exam that is required is the CSA - HP Tru64 UNIX v5 track is the HP HP0-601 Tru64 UNIX v5 System Administration, Support, and Integration exam.

The exam that is required is the CSA - HP OpenVMS v8 track is the HP HP0-081 OpenVMS System Administration exam.
In preparation for this exam candidates are advised to also do the training course Designing for HP Internetwork Solutions (DHPIS). (Please note that the training course is a recommendation.) This training course is available from HP Bootcamp.

What can be done in terms of Recertification for CSA?
The certification validity period is indefinitely. Recertification will thus not be required.
